New Orleans legends The Preservation Hall Jazz Band stopped by Ace Hotel New York for a live Education Outreach with students from the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music. This rare exchange between New Orleans jazz masters and some of New York City's most promising young jazz musicians culminated in a live performance of Preservation Hall's original, "Sugar Plum". The performance is part of 5 at 5, Ace Hotel's ongoing music series in collaboration with Martin Guitar and Show Cobra. The Preservation Hall Jazz Band has been a vital part of the preservation and proliferation of traditional New Orleans Jazz since their formation in 1963.
